Your account signs in with Google. You can add a password to have two ways in.
Scan the code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or your password manager).
Cannot scan it? Type this code into the app by hand:
Print them or write them on paper and keep them away from your phone. They are the only way back in if you lose it: we cannot reprint them, not even if we wanted to.
You stay signed in on this device. Everywhere else you signed in — a hotel computer, a friend's phone, a device you no longer use — will need the password again.
