What we collect when you visit
If you do not give consent, we still count the visit anonymously: the page viewed, the language, the device type and which site or search engine you came from. We do not keep your IP address and we do not set cookies. To count distinct visitors in a day we use a code derived from your IP address and browser that changes every night: the next day you are no longer recognisable, and the code cannot be reversed.
If you give consent, we add your IP address and a code stored in your browser for 6 months, so we can tell whether a visitor returns. If you accept everything, your browser may also ask you to share your location: if you agree to that too, we keep a version rounded to about one kilometre — enough to know which areas visitors come from, not to pinpoint an address.
What we collect if you write to us
The availability enquiry form collects what you enter — name, email, phone, dates, message — and uses it only to reply to you. We do not pass it to anyone and we do not use it to send you advertising.
Why we are allowed to
Anonymous statistics rely on our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works, and they do not identify you. Anything beyond that relies on your consent, which is free, optional and revocable at any time. Replying to your enquiries relies on the answer you asked us for.
For how long
IP addresses are deleted after 30 days. Detailed visit data after 90 days. Only daily totals remain, which concern no individual. Enquiries you send us are kept as long as they are needed to manage our relationship with you.
Cookies we use
Technical (always on, no consent needed): they keep the language you chose and your cookie choice itself, so we do not ask again on every page. Statistical (only with your consent): the code that lets us recognise you if you return, for 6 months.
Your rights
You may ask what data we hold about you, to correct it, delete it, restrict its use or receive it as a file. You can withdraw consent whenever you like from the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page, without writing to us. If you believe something is wrong, you may contact your national data protection authority.
